As we approach the wind down of summer and the ever-quickening pace of back to school, we begin to wonder how did the summer pass so quickly?
I ponder all of the projects that I wanted to complete, but just didn’t complete. Most of them were physical projects around the house or my office that I told myself were vitally important. Was I attempting to fool myself? If they were so absolutely important, why do they remain unfinished?
- God’s priorities are higher than our priorities. My priorities pale in comparison to God’s. My vision is only for a brief period of time, but God’s vision is throughout eternity.
- Because God’s priorities are higher than ours, we must listen to God’s priorities. If we slow down long enough and focus on God, we might just catch a vision that contains God’s plan.
- Once we catch God’s vision for our church, then we need to do everything in our power to align our vision with God’s. Service in God’s Kingdom is not a democracy, but an autocracy. In this world and autocracy is not a positive term, but as it relates to God it is the most wonderful term known to man. This suggests that God has a plan, a plan not to harm, but a plan to prosper.

I serve God by loving and serving you! It is my prayer that God will continue to strengthen our fellowship to accomplish his work in Boykins and beyond.
